Man may not have the built-in instinct to accomplish certain things that animals can do naturally but we have the ability to surpass any animal abilities by learning. Animals pass on their skills to the next generation mostly through genes. The bequeathed ability is seldom improved not unless there is some mutation. For instance, some animals have the ability to construct their own shelter such as the ability of birds to construct their nests. However, the basic construction design for every species does not change significantly from one generation to another. On the other hand, man may not have the instinct to construct his own shelter, but he has the insight to invent his own designs.
Man can transfer his gained knowledge to the next generation and make some improvements through learning. Man response to his environment more readily than animals.
